A cybersecurity specialist from Google delivered a guest lecture for students

On October 18, 2024, Yuriy Landovskyy, who holds the position of Product Manager for cybersecurity products at Google, gave a talk to students of the Department of Accounting and Auditing on the topic “Business Cybersecurity: A Practical Case from Google”.

Yuriy shared that he works in the Google Cloud Security Department, helping companies respond more effectively and quickly to cyber incidents. He has experience working with clients from the Fortune ‘100 Fastest Growing Companies’ list as well as the public sector.

During the lecture, the role of cybersecurity in business and the specifics of risk assessment were discussed. The speaker talked about certification requirements, regulations, and standards in the field of cybersecurity, and shared practical cases of cyberattacks as well as their consequences for companies.

In response to additional questions from the audience, he gave his expert opinion on the risks of investments and the development trends of the investment instruments market, including securities and cryptocurrencies.
