The Department of Accounting and Auditing’s collaboration with representatives of the international scientific community

The Department of Accounting and Auditing at the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education has actively contributed to the internationalization of educational and scientific activities, with a particular focus on strengthening its position within the global academic environment. As part of this initiative, the Department has invited high-level foreign experts and leading scientific professionals to deepen international collaboration.

On November 11, 2024, Dr. habil. Attila Rózsa and Dr. Alexandra Szekeres, representatives of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Debrecen, visited the Department of Accounting and Auditing at the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education. Their visit was tied to their participation in a forum organized to celebrate the Day of Hungarian Science. During the forum, they discussed current issues in higher education, focusing particularly on modern teaching methods and approaches in accounting and taxation.

An important part of the meeting involved an exchange of experiences regarding the implementation of dual education, which is actively developing in Hungarian higher education institutions. Dual education aims to combine theoretical studies conducted at universities with practical knowledge gained through collaboration with corporate partners. This approach enables students to gain essential practical experience during their studies, facilitates their adaptation to real workplace environments, and enhances their competitiveness in the job market. The invited experts outlined the models for implementing dual education in Hungary and shared successful examples of collaboration with corporate partners.

These included the undergraduate programs “Accounting and Taxation” and “Financial Security”, as well as the master’s program “International Accounting and Taxation”. During these discussions, they shared their experiences and provided recommendations for improving the educational process.

The involvement of international experts in the educational process is a vital aspect of integration into the global scientific community. Such collaboration not only supports the professional development of both teachers and students but also contributes to expanding scientific networks, enriching teaching methods through mutual exchange, and strengthening partnerships with the international academic community.
