Knowledge Transfer on Academic Integrity from Master’s to Bachelor’s Students of the Department of Accounting and Auditing

From 2nd to 6th December 2024, as part of the annual Academic Integrity Week, first-year master’s students shared their experiences and knowledge with first-year bachelor’s students of the Department of Accounting and Auditing. They actively participated in the preparation and execution of various activities throughout the week.

On 4th December 2024, master’s students of the “International Accounting and Taxation” programme, as part of the “Methodology of Scientific Research” course, delivered a lecture titled “Academic Integrity.” The lecture provided an in-depth exploration of the term, types of academic misconduct, and the responsibilities associated with violating the principles of integrity for both students and academic staff involved in the educational process. The presenters illustrated their points with cases highlighting instances of dishonesty in the works of well-known politicians and officials, both domestic and international. An engaging component of the session was a practical task where attendees were invited to check texts for plagiarism using open platforms.

The event welcomed guest participants, including students of professional pre-higher education specializing in “Accounting and Taxation” and the academic staff of the Department of Accounting and Auditing at FR II THCHE. Prof. Nina Poyda-Nosyk, and Associate Professors PhD Gabliella Loskorikh and Candidate of Economic Sciences Nataliia Stoyka, who emphasised the importance and necessity of promoting the principles of academic integrity and adhering to ethical standards in the pursuit of higher education, delivered opening remarks.
