On January, 14, 2012 the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute organized an Open Day.
On January 23, 2012 to celebrate the Day of the Hungarian Culture a concert was given by Misztrál music band at the Institute.
On February 15, 2012 a lecture entitled “100 years of the Ecumenical Movement. The search for Christian unity: theory and practice” was delivered by Dr. Mihály Kránitz, professor, Department Head of Péter Pázmány Catholic University and President of Ut Unum Sint Ecumenical Institute.
On February 17, 2012 a Carnival Charity Ball was jointly organized in order to raise money for the renovation of the institute’s roof by Hungarian Consulate of Ungvár, Hungarian Consulate of Beregszász, the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica Civil Organization and the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On February 24, 2012 an exhibition of Csaba Papp’s graphics was launched in Gross Arnold Art Hall of the institute.
On February 29, 2012 presentation of Dr. László Brenzovics’s (lecturer of Rákóczi –institute) book “National Politics in the Reannexed Transcarpathia” was jointly organized by the Tivadar Lehoczky Institute of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute, as well as Department of History and Social Sciences.
On March 23, 2012 on the Day of Polish Hungarian Brotherhood “Friendship through centuries” conference was held under the auspices of Hungarian Consulate of Beregszász.

On March 26, 2012 Labour Market Competitiveness – Certificate Award Ceremony took place at which graduates of various education courses were issued certificates by the Centre for Adult Education.
On March 28, 2012 presentation of Dr. György Csatáry’s book “Archives of the Five Crown Cities of Máramaros County of 1326 -1910” was held.
Between March 29-30, 2012 an international geographic conference entitled “Challenges of Social Geography in the East-Central Europe of the XXI century” took place.

On April 3, 2012 a tradition nurturing celebration of Easter was arranged by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On April 5, 2012 under the auspices of Pro Cultura Subcarpathica civil organization within the framework of Culture’s thousand images 2012 project an exhibition of Varga Tarziciusz’s works of art, brother of the Order of Saint Francis, was open at the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On April 11, 2012 author reader meeting took place on the occasion of Poetry Day. László Csordás, an editor, critic and poet, gave a speech together with other authors publicating their works in „Az Együtt” (Together) magazine.
Between April 19-20, 2012 a series of Earth Day events – 2012.
On April 21, 2012 academician Gyula Pályi, professor of general and inorganic Chemistry at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, an international expert on the Shroud of Turin, delivered a lecture at the institute.
Between April 23-26, 2012 Spring Retro Student Days were organized by the Student Self-Government of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On April 24, 2012 presentation of László Braun’s (historian, lecturer of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute) book “Credit Unions within the Highland Framework of 1898-1910” was held.
On April 26, 2012 meeting members of the Fiction Writers Association: György Dragomán, Anna T. Szabó, András Visky, and Zsolt Láng.
On May 10, 2012 „Two Of Me” fine arts exhibition was launched. Within the framework of Culture’s thousand images 2012project of the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica civil organization works of Ágnes Baraté and Erika Kalitics were displayed.
On May 19, 2012 VIII. Conference of Young Transcarpathian Hungarian Researchers took place under the auspices of „GENIUS” Charitable Foundation.
On May 30, 2012 certificates were issued to graduates of educational courses for media and junior clerk which commenced on February 4, 2012.
On May 30, 2012 within the framework of Culture’s thousand images 2012 project of the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica civil organization an exhibition of Marcell Jankovics’s graphics entitled “The Tragedy of Man” was open at the institute.
On June 4, 2012 the institute was presented with the National Flag by the National Social Circle of Hungary.
June 5, 2012 End-of-Year and Degree Award Ceremony
On June 14, 2012 in commemoration of the first Department Head Dr. Kálmán Soós, presentation of a volume of studies “Thus I remain a messenger … “ took place under the auspices of the Lehoczky Tivadar Institute of the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute, Department of History and Social Sciences.
Between June 25-30, 2012 on the basis of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute the Calasanctius Scholarship Foundation, the “GENIUS” Charitable Foundation and the Institute jointly organized Youth Business Program on June, 25-30.
On July 9, 2012 Dr. Ildikó Orosz, Chairperson of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute and Barna Mezey, Rector of ELTE signed a collaboration treaty on the opening day of the Carpathian Basin Hungarian Summer University in Budapest.
On August 21, 2012 Prof. Anna Soós, prorector of education of Babes-Bolya University, head of the Hungarian branch of the institution paid a call on the institute.
On August 21, 2012 U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine John F. Tefft accompanied by his wife paid a short visit to the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On September 16, 2012 inauguration of the memorial plaque in honour of Ferenc Mádl, former President of the Republic of Hungary took place in the building of the institute. Dalma Mádl, widow of Ferenc Mádl, as well as Cardinal Péter Erdő, Primate, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest attended the inauguration ceremony.
On September 25, 2012 an academic year opening ceremony was held at the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute. Dr. Zsolt Semjén, Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary, honoured the celebration with his presence. Zsuzsanna Répás, Deputy State Secretary for Hungarian Communities Abroad of the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, Mihály Bayer, Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine, József Basckai, Hungarian Consule General of Ungvár, István Tóth, Hungarian Consule General of Beregszász, Antal Majnek, the Roman Catholic bishop of the diocese of Munkács attended the event. Among others present were representatives of historical churches, delegates of numerous Hungarian and Transcarpathian educational, official and social establishements.
On September 28. 2012 a conference titled “The Petition of ‘72. Nationality and Education Policy of the ’60s – ‘70s in the Soviet Union” took place under the auspices of the Lehoczky Tivadar Institute of the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute and the Department of History and Social Sciences.
On September 28-30, 2012 the XIII Freshers’ Camp was organized.
On October 8, 2012 an international meeting of businessmen took place at the institute.
On October 11, 2012 a local history exhibition titled “Beregszász anno” was mounted in Arnold Gross Exhibition Hall.
On October 12, 2012 a charitable vintage ball was hosted for the fourth time in Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On October 18-19, 2012 conference entitled “The past and the present of the Hungarian – Ukrainian language connections” was organized within the frames of cooperation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Institute of the Ukrainian Language, the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine, as well as the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On October 23, 2012 presentation of dr. Natália Váradi’s (historian, lecturer of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute) book “Transcarpathian Documents of the 1956 Revolution and War for Independence” was held under the auspices of the Tivadar Lehoczky Institute of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute, as well as the Department of History and Social Sciences.
On October 23, 2012 Csaba Hende, Minister for National Defense (Hungary), gave a speech at the commemoration ceremony of ’56 organized by the Hungarian Cultural Association in Esztergom hall of the Institute.
On October 24, 2012 an exhibition of students’ works of the specialties of teacher education for kindergarten and primary school titled “Colours, forms and impacts” was run in Törökugrató hall.
On November 6, 2012 a series of lectures on choreography, which take place every Tuesday, were launched by the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica and the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
Between November 8-10, 2012 on the occasion of the Day of Hungarian Science a meeting of the Carpathian basin research workshops and institutes of social sciences was organized by the Tivadar Lehoczky Institute of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute and the Association of Graduates.
On November 10, 2012 the VII Student Conference was organized jointly by the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute and the Genius Charitable Foundation.
On November 13, 2012 a poster-exhibition titled “Visible bilingualism: language politics in pictures” was arranged by the Antal Hodinka Institute of Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute on the occasion of the Hungarian Language Day, as well as the Hungarian Science Day.
On November 16, 2012 a conference titled “Investigations of the István Fodor Research Institute of Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute” was organized by the István Fodor Research Institute on the occasion of the Hungarian Science Day. Dr. Attila Borhidi, Szécsényi-prize winner, botanists, lecturer, member of the Hungarian Academy of Science was among the guests of the conference.
On November 19, 2012 victims of Stalin’s terror were remembered by the participants of the Commemoration event organized by the Department of History and Social Sciences.
On November 20, 2012 as exhibition of works fabricated at the creative camp named after Simon Hollósy was open under the auspices of the Transcarpathian Hungarian- and Imre Révész Industrial Arts Association.
On November 21, 2012 a conference under the heading “Institute’s graduates and scientific replacement” was held at the initiative of the Association of Graduates of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On November 22, 2012 to mark the 100th anniversary of Gyula Firczák’s death (1836-1912), late Bishop of Munkács, a commemorative conference and an exhibition were run in the Rákóczi- Institute. The event, which lasted for an entire day, was aimed at presenting life and work of the former Bishop of Greek-Catholic Diocese of Munkács.
On November 22, 2012 the I. Meeting of Musicians was organised by the Graduates Association of the Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute.
On November 23, 2012 a charitable Freshers Ball was organized by Student Self-Government of the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute, intended to contribute to the renovation of the Institute’s building.
On November 30, 2012 within the scope of Beregszász Roma Day a conference was held at the Institute within the auspices of the Ministry of Human Resources, GENIUS Charitable Foundation and Hungarian Consulates of Beregszász
On December 5-6, 2012 Marcell Jankovics, winner of Kossuth and Béla Balázs awards, cartoon director, graphic artist and book illustrator paid a call on the institute.
On December 8, 2012 the Gödöllő String and Chamber Symphonic Orchestra gave an Advent concert in Esztergom hall.
On December 20, 2012. to mark the 50th birthday anniversary of Maria Jankovics a memorial exhibition was launched in Rákóczi- institute. The art exhibition, which was organized by the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica, provided insight into the works of art of the late painter and graphic artist.
