Career Day and Alumni Expo at the Rákóczi College
Career Day and Alumni Expo were held at the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education on 9 April.
The purpose of the event was to facilitate job searching with interesting presentations on the labor market and to enhance the culture of job placement.
The attendees were welcomed by Gergely Trieb, Consul of the Consulate General of Hungary in Beregszász. He emphasized: “The news is filled with reports of war, and there is unrest in the world. In this difficult situation, it is a refreshing highlight to have a program or project where peace, cooperation, and the building of the future take the lead.“
“Once a student, always a student at heart,”
emphasized Ildikó Orosz, President of the Rákóczi College. She explained that the aim of the day was to give alumni the opportunity to present themselves and their career paths, from which current students can learn, gain insight, and perhaps even find future job opportunities.

Following the official opening ceremony, a series of presentations took place. Erzsébet D. Molnár gave a lecture titled Scientific Career. She was followed by Krisztián Ábrány, who spoke about career planning. After that, Kamilla Debreceni presented her career path. Finally, Györgyi Oniszkó delivered a talk titled Online Presence – What Does Your Social Media Profile Say About You?
During the presentations, former students of the Rákóczi College introduced themselves along with their successful products and services. Guests had the chance to taste delicious desserts offered by Vanessza Kerek Balogh, Ildikó Puskás, and Vanessza Tomcsik. We had the opportunity to view Andrea Turóczi’s gift items, Andrea Csatlós Molnár’s soft and cozy yarn creations, Henrietta Molnár’s micro-embroidered jewelry, Erika Katona (Szilágyi)’s gemstone bracelets, Ilona Ködöböcz-Gerzsenyi’s stunning accessories, Gabriella Varga Roszoha’s handcrafted candles, and Irénke Lévai Derceni’s beaded jewelry. We could also sample Andrea Kozák’s smoked delicacies and István Varga’s wines. We could also browse through Diána Biró’s beaded jewelry, Letti Simon’s gift boxes, Ildikó Knoblok’s decorative and floral arrangement creations, Adetta Uszta’s paintings, and Tímea Pilip’s crocheted bags. We could to admire the fashion designer show of the Egán Ede Vocational Training Center in Tiszapéterfalva.
