Career orientation open day at the Rákóczi College
On 19 June, an open day was held for the second time at the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education. The aim of the event was to give the visitors an insight into the life of the institution and its units, as well as to inform them about the admission procedure for higher education in 2025.
The institution held its first open day on 28 February. It gave prospective students and their parents an insight into the life of the institution and a tour of its departments. They could find out more about the opportunities offered by the departments from the heads of the units and from the lecturers of the various courses.
At the second open day, attendees were welcomed by Ildikó Orosz, the President of our college.
‘The open day is about giving an insight into college life without any obligations, so that you can get to know it and then study here,’
she said.

Afterwards, we watched the institution’s promotional video.
‘Today’s event highlights the college’s ambition to establish an independent Hungarian-language education system from kindergarten to higher education,’
emphasised Vice-Rector Gyula Fodor.

The series of greetings was concluded by Petra Hidi M, president of the college’s Student Council, who presented the diversity of student life to the audience.
