Carnival Extravaganza at the Good Samaritan Reformed Children’s Home in Nagydobrony

On February 27, the Good Samaritan Reformed Children’s Home in Nagydobrony hosted a heartwarming program organized by students from the Egán Ede Vocational Training Center specializing in cooking and hairdressing, as well as students from the beauty profile of the Transcarpathian Hungarian Lyceum. The event aimed to provide joyful moments and beautiful experiences for the children living in the home, while allowing the students to practice their professions in an entertaining and creative way.

As part of the program, the residents of the children’s home participated in various entertaining activities. The hairdressing students created hairstyles for the children, who returned to the common area with fresh and trendy haircuts. The cosmetology students, on the other hand, painted colorful and cheerful designs on the children’s faces, adding to the carnival atmosphere.

One of the most popular elements of the program was the chocolate fountain prepared by the culinary students. The children could dip fresh fruits and marshmallows into the flowing chocolate, enjoying the delicious treat and the time spent together. The chocolate fountain was a real treat for the kids, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.

The event’s realization was also supported by the financial contribution of the Medical Mission of the Catholic Caritas. The doctors, who were accommodated at the Nagydobrony Vocational Training Center’s dormitory during their recent mission in Transcarpathia, left a monetary donation. This amount was used by the organizers to bring the program to life.

This event provided an excellent opportunity not only for the children but also for the students to practice their professional skills. The young participants experienced how their work could bring joy to others while developing their own skills in a real-world setting.

The success of the carnival extravaganza was evident in the happy faces of the children and the recognition received by the students. The program held at the Good Samaritan Reformed Children’s Home in Nagydobrony created a beautiful and defining moment that will remain unforgettable for all participants.
