Dániel Gyurta donated a teqball table to our college on the Day of Hungarian Sport

On May 6, Dániel Gyurta, Head of the Sports Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, visited the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education. The aim of his visit was to promote teqball as a Hungarian innovation (hungarikum) in celebration of the Day of Hungarian Sport.

The teqball table was ceremoniously handed over by Dániel Gyurta to Ildikó Orosz, President of our college, and István Csernicskó, Rector. Following the handover, enthusiastic students quickly took possession of it and began using it with great excitement.

“This day is particularly special because it is the Day of Hungarian Sport, which we aim to celebrate not only in Hungary but throughout the entire Carpathian Basin. We chose the Rákóczi College specifically because we know they have an excellent futsal team, and both the teachers and students are sporty. We hope that by donating this table, international competitions might be organized here in the future as well,”

emphasized Dániel Gyurta.

István Csernicskó, Rector of our college, added that one of the institution’s clear goals is to promote sports and physical education, which is why a physical education training program was launched.

“The fact that we received a teqball table today shows our commitment to sports and physical education, as well as our intention to provide opportunities for young people who want to try themselves in this sport,”

he said.

Following the ceremonial handover, Dániel Gyurta held a meeting with members of the college leadership, then visited the institution’s Educational and Sports Complex.
