Students of the Transcarpathian Hungarian College participated in informal education while studying the elective course “Small Business Finance”
Students who chose to study the elective course “Small Business Finance” (speciality “Accounting and Taxation”, “Secondary Education (English Language and Literature)”, “Secondary Education (Computer Science)”, “Philology (Germanic Languages and Literature)”, “Finance, Banking and Insurance”, “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market”) successfully completed their studies and received certificates in the course “The Right for the Business: How to Attract Resources for Your Own Business” in April – May, 2025. (Prometheus platform).
In current uncertain economic circumstances, the ability to find and raise additional financial resources is a strategically important skill for small businesses, enabling them to adapt to changing conditions and develop entrepreneurial ideas.
During the course, the students learned how to estimate the required start-up capital for running a business, modern tools for attracting resources, including businesses grant support programs (https://business.diia.gov.ua/, https://schoolofme.me/,https://www.usv.fund/, https://usf.com.ua/, https://gurt.org.ua/, https://www.prostir.ua/), the necessity and structure of a business plan, and the specifics of raising funds using various tools (domestic and international grant and loan support programs, training programs for entrepreneurs, crowdfunding, lending, investments, local targeted programs).
Awareness of the wide range of opportunities for attracting resources enables small businesses to increase their competitiveness, improve technologies, expand the business, implement innovative solutions in various aspects of their business activities, and strengthen their resilience to economic risks.
