Visit of Annamária Pósánné Rácz Deputy State Secretary for Higher Education and Adult Training to the Rákóczi College
On October 22, Annamária Pósánné Rácz, Deputy State Secretary for Higher Education and Adult Training, visited the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education. During her visit, she met with Ildikó Orosz, President of the college, István Csernicskó, Rector, Sándor Berghauer and János Csizmár, Vice-Rectors, Árpád Vizáver, Director of the College’s Health and Sports Center, Dénes Szedlák, Director of the College Dormitory and Zoltán Csirpák, Director of the Egán Ede Vocational Training Center.
At the beginning of her visit, Annamária Pósánné Rácz toured the college’s facilities, including the Health and Sports Center, the Kölcsey Dormitory, the college’s shelter, the Na’conxypan Gallery, the Philology Campus, the Katalin Polónyi Weaving Museum, the zoological and botanical classrooms of the Biology and Chemistry Department, the Esztergom Room, the Mineral Collection and the János Apáczai Csere Library. The guests were guided by Vanessza Birtók, the director of the “Rákóczi-tour” Tourist Information Center.
Following this, Deputy State Secretary Annamária Pósánné Rácz attended a work lunch with Ildikó Orosz, István Csernicskó, Sándor Berghauer, Gyula Fodor, János Csizmár, Natália Váradi, Head of the Adult Education Center, and István Buczkó, Senior Consul at the Consulate of Hungary in Beregszász.
Subsequently, Annamária Pósánné Rácz held a meeting with representatives of cultural and art organizations and institutions, including Krisztina Molnár from the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica civil organization, who presented the activities of their organization, Erzsébet Kokas, a folk singer who introduced the work of the Napsugár Tradition-Preserving Children’s Group, Andzselika Kepics, Director of the Tulipán Tanoda Hungarian School of Folk Music and Folk Art, who presented the activities of Tulipán Tanoda, and Natália Váradi, who introduced the work of the “Genius” Charity Foundation.
Following this, the Deputy State Secretary attended a performance by the Napsugár Tradition-Preserving Children’s Group and the students of the Tulipán Tanoda Hungarian School of Folk Music and Folk Art.
“I came to the Rákóczi College today on the occasion of the activities that promote tradition and represent national values. In 2024, the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, on behalf of the National Cultural Fund, announced both open and invitation-only grant opportunities from the Sándor Csoóri Fund to support the community-building genres of folk culture, through which we awarded 600 cross-border groups. Among them are the Napsugár Tradition-Preserving Children’s Group and the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica civil organization, to which I extend my special congratulations,”
she said, then presented a certificate of recognition to Erzsébet Kokas and Krisztina Molnár.
To conclude the day, she attended the Kálmán Soós Scholarship Award Ceremony, organized jointly by the ‘GENIUS’ Charity Foundation and the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education, supported by the Government of Hungary.
