Rákóczi Institute Men’s Handball Team Wins Regional Championship

oklevelOn September 11th Regional Men’s Handball Championshipwas held in Ungvar, among whose participants was men’s team of Ferenc Rákóczi Transcarpathian HungarianInstitute.

A total of five teams participated in the contest. Teams of Ungvar, Perechyn, Khust, and Nagyberezna competed side by side together with Rákóczi- Institute’s handball players.According to the results of the match, teams of Rákóczi-Institute, Perechyn, Khust, and Nagyberezna qualified for the semi-finals.

Results of the semi-finals:

Rákóczi- Institute – Perechyn : 19:13

Khust – Nagyberezna: 21:19

Perechyn and Nagyberezna fought for the third place. Perechyn won the match by17:16. Teams of Rákóczi- Institute and Khust played in the finals, with our team winning 20:18.

This time the Institute’s team has won the finals, while last year it was the runner-up.
