The heroes of the 1848-49 Revolution and War of Independence are remembered with a silent tribute
Due to the situation in Ukraine, the traditional 15 March commemoration was replaced by a silent tribute and wreath laying ceremony in Beregszász.
To commemorate the national holiday of our Hungarian nation, participants paid their respects to the memory of the Youth of March and the heroes of the 1848-49 Revolution and War of Independence.
The management and the teachers of the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College, the management of the College’s Vocational High School, the “GENIUS” Charity Foundation, the Pro Cultura Subcarpathica non-governmental organization, the Transcarpathian Hungarian Pedagogical Association and the city leaders laid wreaths of remembrance at the foot of the Petőfi statue in Beregszász.
