An immensely significant moment during the conference days was an official meeting with Professor Adalat Jalal oglu Muradov, the esteemed Rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University. A particularly pleasant moment was the rector’s address in Ukrainian to our Ukrainian delegation. It turned out that Prof. A.J. Muradov lived in Kyiv from 1990 to 1999, studied in graduate school, then in doctoral studies, and worked as a lecturer at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He taught disciplines such as “Macroeconomics,” “Economic Policy,” “International Economics,” “General Theory of Transitional Economics.” During the meeting with the Rector, prospects for cooperation and opportunities for organizing joint scientific events were outlined.

An intriguing aspect of the conference included an exploration of Azerbaijan culture and visits to historical sites in Baku.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the conference organizers, especially to the director of the UNEC Business School Dr. Nazim Hajiyev and his team, as well as to the co-organizers of the conference for their invitation and warm hospitality.
