Guest lecture on the topic Financial Literacy for students of the Department of Accounting and Auditing

On March 18, 2024, students of the Department of Accounting and Auditing had the opportunity to attend an online lecture in English on the topic of “Personal Finance and Financial Literacy.” The invited lecturer was Botond Géza Kálmán, PhD, associate professor at the Department of Economics and Management, Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences (Hungary).

During the lecture, important issues related to the essence of personal finance, savings, investments, and factors influencing the establishment of personal financial goals have been discussed. The lecturer elaborated on basic concepts and types of financial services in an accessible manner, highlighted the peculiarities of strategic planning of personal finances, emphasized the importance of protecting against financial risks, and the necessity of continuous development of financial thinking for future financial well-being.
