The Croatian Ambassador to Ukraine gave a lecture at the Rákóczi College

On March 7th, Anica Djamić, the Croatian Ambassador to Ukraine, visited us at the invitation of the Department of History and Social Sciences of Rákóczi College.

During her visit, the Ambassador gave a lecture to the students of International Relations, Social Communication and Regional Studies, and the staff of the Department welcomed all interested students.

Marianna Maruszinec, associate professor of the Department of History and Social Sciences, welcomed the guests and introduced the guest speaker.

Afterwards, Ambassador Anica Djamić welcomed the audience and gave a presentation entitled Croatia, 30 years of independence, in which she outlined the history of the country, which was part of Yugoslavia after the Second World War and declared independence in 1991 after the break-up of the state. She then spoke of family values and patriotic sentiments. She also highlighted Croatia’s role in the European Union and the challenges ahead. In her closing remarks, Ambassador Anica Djamić also spoke about cooperation between Croatia and Ukraine, particularly in terms of political, economic, and financial support.
