Open Day at the Rákóczi College

The Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College was open to the public on 10 March. The aim of the event was to give the visitors an insight into the life of the institution and its units.

Gyula Fodor, vice rector of the Rákóczi College, welcomed the guests. He informed the visitors about the history of our college, the circumstances of its foundation, the modern equipment of the institution and the possibility of accommodation in dormitories.

Katalin Soós, Director of the Rákóczi College’s Vocational High School, spoke about the organisational units of the college – the Vocational High School, the schools and kindergartens of the P. Katalin Frangepán Grammar School, the Tulipán Tanoda Hungarian School of Folk Art.

Attila Tóth, Secretary of the Rákóczi College’s Admission Committee, provided information on the expected course of the admission procedure, adding that the College’s management is waiting for the final admission procedure set by the Ministry of Education and Science. He then presented the heads of the departments at the institution and the training programmes they offer.

During the rest of the day, the students who wish to continue their studies and their parents were given an insight into the life of the institution and a tour of its departments. They could find out more about the opportunities offered by the departments from the heads of the departments and from the lecturers.
