Graduation ceremony at the Base Kindergarten of P. Katalin Frangepán Grammar School
Kindergarten graduation is an unforgettable moment when the little ones say goodbye to their kindergarten and embark on new adventures in school. This experience was shared by 32 pupils of the Base Kindergarten of P. Katalin Frangepán Grammar School as they bid farewell to their kindergarten. The institution held graduation ceremonies over two days – on June 19th for the Mókuska Group and on June 20th for the Méhecske Group.
On June 19th, the ceremony was opened by Szilvia Sztankovics, the head of the kindergarten.
“The children have reached an important milestone in their lives, saying goodbye to their kindergarten where they spent 2-3 years. Over the years, they have learned a lot, and this place became their second home. We thank you, dear parents, for entrusting us with your children,”
she said.
She was followed by representatives of the historic churches – János Molnár, Roman Catholic priest, Gyula Cserniga, Reformed pastor and István Marosi, Greek Catholic priest – who asked for God’s blessing on the children’s lives.
After the greetings, it was the children’s turn to shine. The 16 pupils of the Mókuska Group, led by their teachers Klára Hladonik and Éva Molnár, presented a musical and dance program showcasing what they had learned over the past years – poems, songs and rhymes. Under the guidance of Gabriella Szilágyiné Tóth, a folk game instructor from the Tulipán Tanoda, they performed folk songs and games. Emese Virág’s “Szolomijka” Ukrainian language and Katalin Rácz’s “Mary Poppins” English language sessions had so endeared these languages to the children that they also performed Ukrainian and English songs and games on stage. Finally, the children received gift packages and certificates from Ildikó Orosz, president of the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education, Andzselika Bedő, director of the P. Katalin Frangepán Grammar School and Andrea Jakab, acting director of the P. Katalin Frangepán Grammar School.
“Thank you to the teachers and the institution’s leaders for teaching, nurturing and preparing the children for school. Wishing you much success and joy in the future!”
emphasized president Ildikó Orosz.
Miklós Jusztin, consul of the Consulate General of Hungary in Beregszász, emphasized the importance of education.
“We are proud of you, children, as you have taken a big step today; after kindergarten, the school doors will be opening for you. Be as hard-working and persistent there as well!”
he added.
At the close of the ceremony, the parents thanked the teachers, caregivers and staff for nurturing their children with heart and soul.
On June 20th, the attendees were again greeted by Szilvia Sztankovics, followed by representatives of the historic churches asking for God’s blessing on the attendees’ lives.
They were followed by the 16 pupils of the Méhecske Group, who, under the leadership of teachers Andrea Halász and Emília Veres, and social educator Andrea Marosi, showcased what they had learned over the years. They also eagerly learned folk games and dances and acquired various poems and songs in Ukrainian and English. As on the previous day, the presentation of certificates and gift packages was a highlight, with the children receiving them from Andzselika Bedő, director of the P. Katalin Frangepán Grammar School and Andrea Jakab, acting director of the P. Katalin Frangepán Grammar School.
At the end of the ceremony, the parents thanked the teachers, caregivers and staff.
During their graduation ceremony, the children demonstrated their school readiness and assured their educators that they would never forget the years spent here.
