American lecturer spends a semester at the Rákóczi College
The Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education has a wide range of professional contacts and maintains good relations with higher education institutions in several countries, and implements academic programmes.
Thus, in cooperation with Niagara University, among others, through the help of Dr. Peter Forgach, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Western New York, who has been supporting the participation of our students in the Calasanctius Training Program for more than a decade, 32 students of the College were able to participate in the Tourism and Hospitality course in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. One of the lecturers of the training was Prof. Kurt A. Stahura, Professor within the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Niagara University, Director of the Research for the Niagara Global Tourism Institute, and formerly Director of UNLV-Singapore at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Following the successful completion of the training, 5 students were invited to Fillmore, USA, for a summer camp internship.
Prof. Stahura will spend the fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year at our institution, honing his degree by giving lectures to students in the Departments of Philology, Geography and Tourism, History and Social Sciences, Accounting and Auditing, and the Kölcsey College for Advanced Studies, as well as classes in English language development at the College’s English language course.
